Since 2000, the scientific team of GDG has earned a first class reputation based on its numerous contributions in the establishment of surveillance and control standards, at the federal, provincial and municipal levels. We can proceed with WNv risk analysis through the integration of relevant factors concerning demography, socio-economics, environment and climate. We can also establish emergency plans, and provide response capacity building for emerging threats such as West Nile virus. Finally, we can perform studies based on the ecological mapping of mosquito development sites, which allow the optimization of control operations against vector mosquitoes, as well as pilot projects aiming at mosquito source reduction, for instance in used tire depots.
